Christmas Candles!

Welcome to Natasha in Oz sweet friends! I'm so glad you found a few minutes to stop and visit me in my little corner of the world Down Under. Thanks also to Susan from "Between Naps on the Porch" for hosting Met Monday for another week.

Last week I posted some holiday pictures that I found inspiring and creative. I really liked this picture and thought I might try to recreate something like it for my coffee table.

Here is my version of the Christmas candle/cake platter.

First, here is a picture of the coffee table before my little decorating experiment.

And here are some pictures of the newly decorated coffee table.

I used a Mikasa cake stand, some old plain glass tea light candle holders, some red glass votives and some Noel candles that I bought on sale last year from Crabtree and Evelyn.

I wish I'd noticed that golf ball under the table...hang on.....WHY is there a golf ball under the table???

D gave me the beautiful antique tray for my birthday last week. Thank you D!

I rested some baubles on these Mikasa candle holders.

Everything looks even prettier at night.

I am so happy with my Christmas candle/cake platter! I wonder what I can do next week....

Thank you so much for coming to spend time with me today. I hope you will be back again soon!

Best wishes,
Natasha In Oz

  9. Wow, Natasha! Yours looks better than the picture. Love the red candle holders and the berries. It's great to see when an inspiration can turn into a reality. How fabulous!!

My son is a professional golfer. My home is filled with golf balls, tees, score cards and his notes. I don't wash his pants anymore because it is a project to empty his pockets!!

    Have a great week!! :-)

  16. That turned out very, very nice. Day or night! I love votives but I've had cats for years try to do deep holders, just in case. You know, their swishing tails ... and my cat has a need to sniff the flames. Duh. So, I just really enjoyed your photos! Enjoy some for me!! Jenn

  23. Hi,

Thanks for becoming my number 3 follower! I'm following you, now, too. This post really makes me itchy to take my Christmas decorations out, but I have a tradition of getting up extra early on the day after Thanksgiving and pulling out all the boxes. But this post did make me think about some things I haven't used for Christmas decorating before like a pretty pewter platter and a pewter dessert stand. Maybe I'll put together something similar. Thanks for sharing!

  26. Love your decorations, they are so beautiful and festive! I love the red. I am jealous that your tree is up. My hubby refuses before our Thanksgiving! I am listening to Christmas music.

  30. Your version is beautiful! So peaceful, I think I would just sit by candlelight for hours. And I really did enjoy the golf under the table. My house is filled with golf balls, not only hockey pucks, but the sticks as well, footballs, and pretty much any piece of sports equipment you can imagine. (even though those things are supposed to be stored in the garage...) The golf ball made me feel right at home!
