Tuesday Tune: Beth Rowley and Cleaning the Silver!

G'Day lovely friends! Welcome to Natasha in Oz, my little bloggy home Down Under.

Tuesday Tune, Beth Rowley, Cleaning the Silver, Natasha in Oz

I love Sundays! It is the one day of the week when I can relax and take things slowly. We normally sleep in, have a cooked breakfast and go for a walk together.

While Mr Attorney and the kids are doing their own things in the afternoon (like watching the football or the Disney Channel!) I try to catch up on blogging, cleaning and organising. Today I decided to clean and polish some silver and I am so glad because it all looks so amazing now!

The silver tray that I polished belonged to Mr Attorney's Grandparents and it is normally on the coffee table. I decided to move it to the sideboard after polishing it. I also polished a silver sugar and creamer set that we received as a wedding gift from my God-father.

Can you see the pretty little Autumn leaves on the tray?

These were included in a beautiful package sent to me all the way from The Netherlands! The beautiful Saskia from the blog Join my Joy sent me the loveliest things to celebrate Easter, Spring and Autumn! She sent me some seeds which were tied together with the pretty little tag I have attached to the cloche.

Look at what Saskia wrote on the other side of the tag....isn't she sweet!

Saskia had also seen that I collect spoons so she sent me this beautifully wrapped vintage silver spoon!

I made a mosaic for Mosiac Monday at Mary's Little Red House to show you the other lovely things Saskia sent me....doesn't everything look even prettier when it is in a mosaic!

Thank you so much dear Saskia for sending me these beautiful gifts and for being such a lovely blogging friend! I hope you like the way I have displayed these beautiful treasures!

I am such a lucky person!

Another reason I love Sundays is because I play lots of music and try to find new artists to follow. This week I hear Beth Rowley for the first time. Have you heard of Beth Rowley?

An English Singer/Songwriter, Beth was born to British parents in Peru and raised in Bristol. She trained at Brighton's Institute of Modern Music and says that she is "influenced by a lot of bluegrass, gospel, soul & country."  During her time at the school, Beth toured with Ronan Keating and Enrique Iglesias providing backing vocals. Most recently Beth is featured in the nightclub scene in the 2009 film An Education. Her track, "You Got Me Wrapped Around Your Little Finger", is featured prominently in the official movie soundtrack.

Please enjoy Beth Rowley singing another great song, "Sweet Hours"....

  20. Nothing more rewarding than newly polished silver, unless it's newly polished copper pots and pans hanging from my pot rack. Sigh....they are calling my name now...Polish me!

Just saw An Education a few days back--loved it because it was set in London and Paris--two favorite places.

    Wishing you a great week....
