Blue-Bird Watching!

Have I told you that I have become a fan of blue birds? I haven't? Well let me introduce you to the the first blue-bird in my life. This is Chester our pet budgie. Isn't he cute?

Welcome to our family Chester!

Chester is such a sweet little bird and he loves being part of the family.

He is very smart too and often helps Big Al with his homework!

But Chester isn't the only blue bird in my life!
I have joined the ranks of other blue-bird watchers out there in blogland....

I am a now a Tweeter on Twitter!

I have been trying to decide between joining Facebook and Twitter for a while now and after hearing quite a few grumblings about Facebook from other bloggers I decided that Tweeting was probably the way to go. I like the idea of constructing short snappy messages and, well, that Blue bird is just so darn cute I couldn't resist!

So if you are a tweeter, chirper or blue-bird watcher too, please tweet me and say hi!

  1. Hi again Natasha!
Really...Twitter is easier than facebook? That is music to my ears because I really don't understand facebook and don't have the time to do so! maybe I will tweet you sooner than I thought a minute ago at your Christmas blog!!
Chester is so cute...I just love the picture of him on your daughters shoulder! I love birds but have never had one in the house. Humm...don't think now is the time to start with my new little kitty running around! Please share Chester with as as often as you can!
This was a fun five minutes! Thanks and many blessings!

  2. Hello Natasha,
your pet budgie Chester is very cute and he looks very intelligent. We saw wild living budgies in Alice Springs. Was really exiting.
    Greetings, Johanna

  3. Chester is such a handsome fid (fid= feather-kid). The do bring such happiness to our lives with talking, love and such devotion. He seems to have settled in and loves his new family.
We have 2 conures, each day is wonderful and so full of noise, always playtime with them. I know you will have a super fun life with Chester.

  6. Natasha, I'm not a Tweeter, but I do enjoy stopping by your blog. Your little Chester reminds me of the blue bird that was part of our family when I was a child. We had him for at least 15 years. Perhaps longer!
    Have a great day!

  8. What a sweet little blue budgerigar (don't think I've spelt that correctly!); I've been on facebook for quite a while now, and I love it!

  10. Natasha, he is a cutie. My dog would love a few birds in the house, but not as a friend. :P

  12. Chester has beautiful feathers.
I'm on facebook so don't tweet. I don't know much about tweeting and facebook is enough for me..
Let us know how it goes after a while of doing it.

  13. Natasha..I just love your parakeet! He's so sweet! Our's is yellow and green and his name is Davy Jones. He's my son's bird. He sometimes drives us crazy with his love of mimicry..especially when he mimics the pager! We have a separate office so we have a paging system set up. That bird sounds JUST LIKE the phone ringing..only a little softer. We are always saying, "Would someone please answer the bird!" He mimics outdoor birds beautifully from having listened to them all for so long.

What sweet photos of your children with our pet!

  16. Chester is adorable! We used to have a blue parakeet-must be related to the budgie family.
Joined SS late this week, but always enjoy the music you share. Great lyrics on this week's pick, but who is the singer?

  17. Hi Karen, I don't know who the singer is. I wasn't able to find any info on the websites I looked at. She has a great voice though doesn't she!

  20. Chester is just lovely...great photos! I'm currently on face book as most of my friends and family do that rather than twitter...I'm your latest follower, I'll keep up with you that way!

Thanks for the visit, have a great weekend!

  21. I tweet but only to promote my blogging activities, although personally I think one needs both FB and Twitter for networking as they are very different. FB is where I meet up with family and friends. Have a good weekend and hope to see you on Twitter.

  25. I loved your new baby! When I lived in Brazil we used to have lots of those birds!

  26. I had a pet parakeet when I was going up. I loved my Mario so much!! He would build little nests in my hair and sit on my shoulder all the time. My son is dying for a bird so much that I'm not sure I could bear to show him your adorable photos (my husband holds the pet veto power). Congratulations on your new feathered friend! Enjoy!
