A history teacher friend of mine emailed this to me yesterday and I just wanted to share it with you too. Perhaps you have already seen these amazing images before? If so I hope you enjoy having a look at them again!
Queen Elizabeth II took the throne at a 27 and her 59-year reign is currently the second-longest for a British monarch. Isn't it amazing to see how she has changed through the years?

Wow! Amazing to think that she's been there throughout all those Presidents and, likewise, all the Prime Ministers that she has seen and go in this Country! She's pretty good I would say for 85 ! Warmest wishes to you.

Oh, isn't she wonderful??? And didn't she look lovely at the wedding! Overall, I think QEII has done a stellar job of running The Firm and maintaining an image of strength and fidelity despite ups and downs and turmoil ....
ReplyDeleteA wonderful lady that I have great admiration for, she is the same age as my Mum and they almost shared a Birthday just a few days apart. :)

I love the one w/Reagan, b/c of Reagan's genuine laughter - but she's sure "gussied up" in that one isn't she? Take care, Jenn

I saw this same photo series recently and was amazed at the relationships the Queen has known through the years. God Save the Queen!
ReplyDeleteThat was fun, Natasha. Thanks for putting that together. I viewed her dresses on display at Buckingham Palace and it was so interesting. They were displayed on true to her size at the time mannequins.
