Welcome friends to NatashaInOz.com. I'm so happy to see you! I hope that you have all had a great week so far. I have had a wonderful time reading the 28 blog posts that were linked up to my

Thank you so much to my wonderful friends who linked up and who have also spread the word about this  weekly blog party dedicated to anything and everything! Please come back on Saturday to link up your recipes, craft ideas, tutorials, DIY tips, Pinterest round up posts, instagram pictures...anything that you would like to share with bloggy friends from all around the world!

I just realised this week that it seems like forever since I have done a 5 Minutes With... post so, since I am busy visiting my sweet bloggy friends, I think now is the perfect time for another one!

Please meet guest poster, Anna from Ethos Design, an amazing designer from Down Under!!

Take it away Anna!

Hello everyone! I guess I should introduce myself...I’m Anna, an interior decorator in North Queensland and the lovely Natasha is letting me steal her 5 minutes for today!

What I love about Natasha’s blog is that it is a simple (and pretty!) reminder to slow down and take a little time to yourself in today’s busy world. I know that personally, nothing gives me greater satisfaction than finishing a project for my home, or curling up on my favourite armchair to read a book (or another design blog – I think I could qualify for the longest blog list on earth). I’ve always felt that a beautiful bedroom or just a pretty little nook is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

My true appreciation for all things interiors probably began living in the beautiful old Queenslanders my mother renovated as I grew up. And ever since I’ve left home, I’ve lived in one myself (a shout out to all of you who are dealing with painting tongue and groove walls, funny shaped rooms and sticky casement windows!).

When I started my business I didn’t want to be a designer who specialized in high-cost trade-only designer furniture (although that can be nice!) and thought there must be a way for people to enjoy my services within their budget; the result was my Design Kits.

By now, I’m sure most of you have heard of e-decorating. It is a huge trend in the United States, but there haven’t been many designers that can offer it to us Aussies, with local stores. Although what I offer is technically e-decorating, I try to make my design kits as much like having a real designer as I can. Each kit has inspiration and mood boards with a shopping list (within your budget) but I also include explanations as to why every piece was chosen and how to put it all together.

The advantage of Design Kits over a traditional-style designer is that you can set your ideal budget (not the budget you have now), and shop over time. You can use your kit as creative suggestions and look for your own products, or follow my ideas to the letter. It’s up to you! If you want to know more about how the process works you can see here.

Enough of me blabbering on. The real reason I’m here is because I am offering Australian readers the chance to win a ‘decorating’ design kit for your favourite room! You can choose whichever decorating Design Kit you would like!

You can choose from:

1. ‘Re-Arrange’ – Works with everything you already have and gives you suggestions for the best layout and arrangement (or perhaps you’ve already bought some things and it just isn’t quite working).

2. ‘Refresh’ – You’ve probably already bought your furniture but why not update it with some pretty accessories and a new layout?

2. ‘Start from Scratch’ – Sick of your old furniture? Want to start fresh? This kit will give you ideas for everything from the perfect sofa to accessories and window treatments.

Once a winner is announced I will draw up a design kit based on the winner's chosen room and budget and Natasha and I will post the before photos, the finished design kit (and if the reader finishes it off, the
after pictures as well) on our blogs.
