Hello and welcome to this weekend's say G'day Saturday Linky Party!
Well, this has been another very sad week for our family so I hope you will for give me if I haven't visited you. Some of you might recall that last year our family lost a very dear friend to breast cancer. Sadly we have had to say goodbye to another dear friend this week. Ann Maree was not even 50 and she was the most vibrant, energetic, positive and amazing person in the world. Her only child, a beautiful daughter, is one of Maddy's best friends. Naturally Ann Maree's husband and family are completely devastated to have lost someone so young to breast cancer. It was a very aggressive cancer that attacked her liver....one minute she was here and the next she was gone.
Ann Maree was an amazing traveller. She saw so much of the world and she was always encouraging us to see more of the world and live a full and happy life. So to honour her memory, today I am taking a virtual trip around the world to all of the places that meant so much to Ann Maree!
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.” – Jawaharial Nehru
“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine

This post is dedicated to Ann Maree, our dear friend Sue and all of the amazing women who are fighting or have fought this terrible disease.
One of my goals this year was to try to be a better blogger, to change the name of my blog and to get my own dot.com! Well.... unfortunately my part-time job this term has taken me away from my blog so I need to work on being a better blogger next term...but.... I am now two steps closer to achieving my goals!
You see, when I decided to start my own blog I created the name rather impulsively and didn't realise that there would be a very long blogspot.com at the end of the blog title... www.5minutesjustforme.blogspot.com is so long!
Also, as an English teacher I really regretted using the numeral five instead of the word five in my blog's title! I don't know how many times I have told my students over the years that small numbers, such as whole numbers smaller than ten, should be spelled out yet here I was doing exactly that! Bad teacher! I have also noticed that when lots of bloggers link back to me they often forgot to add in the word "Just" so I decided to simply start afresh and name my blog something that many people have already seen many times before....
So, I have finally removed blogspot.com from my URL, I have a new and simpler name for my blog and I am following the rules for writing numbers...yippee!
I have a few other exiting things planned for this little ol' blog but as always, everything takes time and patience. Please bear with me while I make a few changes and try to reach my blogging goals in 2012!
Now, onto this week's
Say G'day Saturday Linky Party
I can't wait to see what you have been creating and doing this week! I have been trying a few recipes, looking for ideas for Easter and I've even done some decorating. I have also found myself listening to lots of Chillout music while I have been at home by myself. I thought you might like to listen to one of my favourite pieces that I seem to be constantly playing over and over again! It is very ambient and is great background music while I am marking homework, cleaning the house or reading my favourite blogs!
I don't know about you but whenever I think of movies that are truly romantic and all about love this is the one that always comes to mind...
Now there is nothing romantic about this clip....I just love Hugh Grant and wanted to see him dancing!
Note to self...I must watch Love Actually again soon!
I would love to know what you have been up to this week! Have you posted any recipes, crafts, ideas, tutorials, songs or favourite Pinterest Pins on your blog lately? Please share your favourite post, old or new, to my weekly Say G'Day Linky Party, by simply adding the url of your particular blog post that you would like us to visit to the Linky tool below.
Thanks so much for linking up! I hope you might have some time later on to come back and visit some of the sweet Bloggers from all around the world who have joined in with this week's party. Please let them know that you have dropped by and say G'day!
Thanks also to the following wonderful people for having me this week:
I have had another busy week at home and at school but I am having an absolute ball! I have also been having lots of fun posting daily photos on instagram for the February Photo a Day Challenge which is being hosted by Australian blogger fatmumslim.
Are you playing along too? If not here is the daily program!
It’s a great way to record my daily happenings and to look at the everyday things that happen my life a little differently. I've also met some new friends on twitter and instagram by tweeting about my daily pictures.
I am posting my pictures on my Tumblr blog so please pop by and check them out if you have five minutes to spare. Here are a few of my favourites from the last few days:
