Tuesday Tune: Visiting Brighton Beach and 'Beach' by San Cisco

Hello sweet friends and welcome to Natasha in Oz. Thank you for visiting me in my little corner of the world Down Under and welcome to this week's Tuesday Tune post. This week I am remembering our delightful day at Brighton Beach in the UK.

This morning as I type this post it is overcast so I am reminded of the dreary weather in England. However, the chill in the air is welcome and beautful...I think Autumn has FINALLY arrived! Yippee! I know that many of my bloggy friends from the North are probably thinking I'm nuts because they are yearning for Spring but this summer has been long, hot, wet and humid and I'm really ready for Winter! I'm ready for warming comfort food, winter coats, woolen blankets and wearing my favourite jeans. Bring on the cold weather I say!

These grey skies also remind me of the wintry and wet day we spent at Brighton Beach in England. Even though it was cold and grey it was so wonderful to just be there after so many years of seeing all the iconic buildings and scenery on TV and in movies.

I hope you don't mind, then, if I get into the spirit of Winter by sharing a few photographs from our trip to Brighton. You might also enjoy listening to and watching today's Tuesday Tune which is a song called Beach from the Australian group San Cisco. The music video was filmed in Brighton and includes great shots of the area and features some of the shops that we spent some time in!

  4. Oh wow! That would be such a cool place to visit! In fact, we've had a much milder winter than we usually have, which usually means spring and summer are going to be unbearably hot and humid - maybe instead of moving to Washington State this summer, we should just move where you are. ;) Love all the shots! :)

  14. Natasha,
I love this post. It is so beautiful. I totally get that feeling of wanting to feel the fall and winter at the end of the summer. We are in the north, so you're right that I'm waiting for spring and summer, especially because we are having a blizzard today in Denver. I share at your parties, and I would really love to have you share this post at my Wednesday's Adorned From Above Blog Hop. Here is the link to the party.

  19. What a great trip.

Isn't it interesting that no matter where one lives, we long for and anticipate the change of seasons. Here we are, longing for spring, while you are looking forward to autumn. In 6 months, those feelings will be reversed!

  21. I loved seeing all the pictures from your visit to Brighton Beach. I went to the Brighton in England and had a grand time there. Still have my precious prints on the wall. You pictures make me want to take away about 15 years and start back traveling again. genie
