Far is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Regina Spektor.
Rolling Stone magazine in 2009 labelled Spektor as "New York's Screwball Pop Queen" and The Guardian described her music as "polarising." I guess when she says things like this she could be considered a little quirky:
"It doesn't feel natural to me to write some diary-type song," Spektor, 29, says. "I want to write a classic like 'Yesterday,' but weird songs about meatballs in refrigerators come into my head no matter what – I can't help it."

I love her quirkiness though, and really enjoy listening to her music. I've even featured one of her songs before on another Tuesday Tune post all about Paris.
Spektor worked with multiple producers on the album Far, describing it as wanting to have "multiple professors". One of my favourite musicians, Jeff Lynne from ELO, produced the song 'Blue Lips'.
"Regina's songs are like literature," said Lynne. "It hits you right in the face how brilliant it is."
Blue, the most human color
Blue lips, blue veins
Blue, the color of our planet
From far, far away...
I hope you enjoy listening to her music too and enjoy this song titled Blue Lips. And, since the song is all about the colour BLUE, I hope you also enjoy some BLUE pretties that I found at Pinterest!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your day is beautiful!
