G'Day from Oz dear friends. Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting my little corner of the world!

Spring is well and truly here and summer is definitely on the way! The weekend has been warm and the pool is starting to look very inviting! We had friends over for a Mezze dinner last night and it was such a healthy and relaxing way to entertain. This morning, after a nice long sleep-in, I have been reading magazines and watching re-runs of Martha. I love this show and read her blog all of the time. She often has Dr. Andrew Weil on her show and he specializes in natural remedies for many health problems. With summer approaching (beaches...swimming...bathing suits....) I thought I would share his Top 5 Foods for a Healthy Diet.

These foods are delicious and I think even Mr Attorney, Maddy and Big Al will enjoy eating/drinking them. He suggests that we need daily helpings of:
  1. Dark chocolate (70%)
  2. Tea (green in particular)
  3. Whole soy foods (such as tofu, tempeh, and edamame)
  4. Oily fish (such as wild Alaskan salmon, sardines, and Alaskan black cod)
  5. Cruciferous vegetables (such as broccoli, kale, cabbage, Brussels sprouts).
I think I might go and make a green tea right now!
