Lunch in Brisbane City with Mr Attorney

G'day from Oz sweet friends! Today I am dying to tell you about a beautiful lunch I had in Brisbane City with Mr Attorney. It was so nice to be able to spend some "alone" time with him. I really felt like a "grown up" and I even had a glass of wine! And, best of all, we were able to converse about politics, renovations ie grown-up stuff with no interruptions!

We had lunch at a bistro in the Brisbane CBD called Cicada and it was fantastic. It is beautifully decorated with lots of gold and black and there are lots of gorgeous long marble counter-tops everywhere.

I love the communal fruit in the wooden bowl.

I ordered grilled chicken which sat on a bed of raddichio and a bean salad. It was delicious!

D ordered Salt and Pepper squid.  I had to try some and I loved it!

Time flew by and before we knew it Mr Attorney had to get back to the office. On my way back to the Mall to look for some new spring clothes I took these photos of the city on a beautiful spring day.

A view down the Mall. Look at the colour of the sky!

I had such a lovely day with my darling and to top the day off I got to enjoy being outdoors in the fresh spring air. We will definitely be doing this again very soon!

  8. Ah! Lunch dates. When our girls were young, Howard didn't go into work until 2pm, so we had lots of lunch dates while the kidlets were in school. I miss those!

I do remember a memorable lunch "out" when the girls were babies -- and we left them at home with a sitter, and pledged to talk about anything EXCEPT the babies while we were at the restaurant.

Well, we made a valiant attempt, but those danged babies kept creeping into our conversation! We hadn't had them long enough to want to NOT talk about them for a bit.

Lovely post -- and gorgeous "outside" pics. That bistro looks chic and marvelous; I love their wineglasses!
