But

Welcome to another "Outdoor Wednesday"

Today is...."Outdoor Wednesday", a linky party hosted by Susan from A Southern Daydreamer.  Thanks so much, Susan, for hosting this special "show and tell" event. I love looking at all the other postings and at the moment I particularly like the posts from America; it is so amazing at this time of year because while I am posting pictures of sunshine others are posting pictures of snow! If you would like to see what other people have posted please click HERE.

I have only participated in this event twice and my first posting was all about Spring . Spring time in Australia is normally spectacular, evident in this picture from my Spring posting of the Jacaranda tree in our front yard:

However, the weather here has been a bit strange lately. We are in the midst of another drought so many plants are flowering out of season. We also experienced some very bad dust storms so the storms we had the other day were indeed a blessing. The problem is, the sky is still grey and big black clouds are constantly hovering overhead but we haven't had any more rain.

Look how grey the sky is-doesn't the Jacaranda tree look sad today?

I just wish those grey clouds would go away for a while so we can have some of that gorgeous Spring-time weather again! Come on sun, you can do it.....

Oh no....don't go away again.....

Well, I guess the sun won't be coming out today! Maybe tomorrow...

Happy (Outdoor) Wednesday to everyone.

Best wishes,
Natasha In Oz

  8. I understand no rain, that happened to us this summer in Texas, but thank the Good Lord it has started raining and I am sure yours will come.

I was in your country about 11 years ago and visited Syndey, Melbourne and stayed in Perth for one week. It is beautiful.

    Happy Wednesday.

  13. G'morn, my friend ~So glad you are enjoying the 'travels' of our great land. I sure enjoy yours, too. DH REALLY LOVES viewing them ... he so enjoyed his visits 'down under'. When he threatened to move down under I told him to come home & sign the divorce papers, my feet had grown roots, chuckle!

Have a beautiful spring day. TTFN ~Marydon

  17. Beautiful tree. You can have some of our rain. :) Thanks for stopping by. You don't have squirrels in Australia? We have an over abundance of them around here and they are very destructive. Yes, they are quiet a bit larger than chipmonks.

  19. It is an internet wonder that I get to see spring down under when around me I see fall.

I hope that the weird weather there and elsewhere is not some cause-effect result of humankind's impact on the planet. I pray you will get decent normal weather for your spring. I also pray that human's impact on the planet becomes more benign and benevolent then I instinctively feel it currently is. We need to care for our only home, our planet.

  21. I loved your post and thoughts on the weather. We went from hot, dry to cool rain over night. It has rained so much and more coming. We needed it, but not so much at one time. Australia is such a lovely part of the world.
