Christmas Inspiration!

I have been a very bad blogger these last few days....I have obviously been having too good a time celebrating my birthday. It has been so wonderful reading the sweet messages people have left. Thank you for making my Birthday extra special! This weekend I plan to spend my spare time visiting everyone to see what amazing things you have all been doing whilst I have been doing, well, not very much!

The kids and I are still having fun decorating the house for the Christmas holidays so I just wanted to post some pictures  that have inspired me when decorating this year.

I love this idea-so simple yet so effective.

I will definitely be doing this.

Just right for an Aussie Christmas!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend-I will be finding my glass cake platter and making that display!

Best wishes,
Natasha In Oz

  2. That is beautiful Natasha! My littlest one spontaneously put Christmas carols on last night and I got teary. Christmas is so much more joyous in Aussie than it is here... You have given me a push to start the cheer!

  3. Hi Natasha. Your blog sparked a little excitement in me regarding Christmas...until now I've hardly had time to entertain the thought that it's nearly upon us. I must make a wreath this year. Please show us how the platter turns out.
Thanks for the compliment re my profile pic. I was hesitant as I didn't want to spoil the illusion I may have created, haha, but I know how much I like to put a face to someone, like you said.
    Have a fabulous weekend.

  5. Please, never apologize for how you blog. IMHO, we all blog, as feels right to/for us.

Come to think of it, why would we do anything else?

  7. I love placing ornaments in bowls and using them as centerpieces. We have a box full of old ornaments from husband's grandmother, but there's not enough room on our tree. So, I fill beautiful crystal bowl with them. Easy and festive!

  8. Ooooh. I'm still in the 30-days of THanksgiving. But I peeked and oooooh some good ideas. I love the piano and the stackable plate thing (can't think of what it's called) w/the ornaments. I have a fold-out thing ... oh what ARE they called? Might try that. See ya next time, Jenn.

  9. What lovely holiday decor ideas! I really liked the velvet bow on the doorknob -- we have such great old doorknobs and iron rimlocks on our doors here; I think lovely bows would be just the thing for Christmas!
I'll bet it will be the first time our doorknobs get all gussied up for Santa!

Thanks for visiting and leaving such a sweet comment! And I also agree with Jane -- one can never begin one's holiday weight gain too early. Let's all beat the rush!

    have a lovely weekend!
