But

Decking the Halls and Jamie Oliver Christmas Special!

I am very excited today for three reasons. The first reason I am excited is because there are only 24 days until Christmas! The second reason I am excited is because I have 100 readers of my little blog! Renny from the absolutely beautiful blog Bizzy @ Home became my 100th follower! Thank you Renny and thank you also to everyone who has visited me over the last few months. I am obviously so very grateful to my wonderful  new and dear friends who are "following" me. It has been so wonderful meeting you and I appreciate your friendship-Thank you! The third reason I am excited is because I am linking up with Susan from Thoughts from over the Rainbow  who is hosting a beautiful "Deck the Halls" party. This party started today and it will continue every Tuesday until Christmas. I have already had a sneak peak at Susan's post and she has the most beautiful home which has been all decked out for Christmas!

I have already shared a few pictures of my Christmas decorating so I won't bore you with them. Instead, how about I show you what I watched on TV as I was taking pictures for this post!

I watched a Jamie Oliver Christmas special! He cooked a goose, a turkey, cabbages and he roasted chestnuts over an open fire and then he made fruit mince pies.  I was meant to be taking pictures of our home but I obviously got a bit distracted!

For example as I was taking this picture of our lounge area he was discussing ways to tell when a goose is cooked.

I believe that he was making stuffing as I was taking these next pictures of our cutlery stand in our hallway. His stuffing was made with pork mince and it looked sensational!

I did a swap out of candles-I like these ones better than the ones in the first picture

Here is a picture of another of our Chinese pieces in another hallway. My beautiful daughter painted the picture in one of her art classes...Jamie was talking to the turkey farmer here...aren't they funny little creatures!

On this cabinet I have 3 gold trees, a bowl of orange pot pourri and a snow globe that Mr Attorney bought me. It plays my favourite Christmas song "Winter Wonderland".

I think Jamie was making dessert about now...fruit mince pies the Jamie Oliver way...don't they look unbelievably good!

As Jamie was discussing the ingredients for the pies I was taking pictures of the Christmas tree!

These 2 decorations are from America. One is a Longaberger piece from our dear friends in Ohio and the other comes from Muir Woods is San Francisco.

As I finished taking these photos, Jamie finished his Christmas special and I think it might be best that I finish writing this rather crazy post! I hope you enjoyed a quick tour of our lounge area and a quick summary of Jamie Oliver's 2007 Christmas Special.

Thank you Susan for having me today. Please go and visit Susan to check out the other bloggers who have decked their halls!

Thank you for coming to spend time with me today in my little corner of the world Down Under! I absolutely love seeing you and I really love hearing from you too so don't forget to say G'day!

Take care and best wishes always,
Natasha In Oz

  8. 100 followers...congratulations. I'm only about halfway there, but I'm so grateful for each and every one of them. I really wondered if I would have more than 2 or 3!

I love the way you posted this...so fun. Of course since my house if full of shells, I really like the shells around your candles. Orange potpourri would be wonderful...I think I'll pass on the mincemeat, I just never got into that!
