We talked, told jokes and I naturally took lots of photos!
Even though we are approaching winter here in Australia the gardens are still looking colourful, beautiful and very Summery.
As the sun began to set we saw an amazing sight...the sun's rays were shining through the clouds.
Imagine seeing all of this beauty and splendour in one day....
Easter Sunday!
Instead of having an "Aha moment" we had an "Alleluia moment!"
Which brings me to my Tuesday Tune.
Mya from the lovely blog "Elbows on my Window Sill" reminded me of the beautiful Hallelujah chorus from Handel's Messiah in her Easter post this week.
Messiah is divided into three parts covering the prophecies concerning the birth, miracles, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Jesus. It was first performed during Lent in 1742 and today it is performed at Christmas and at Eastertide with selections containing resurrection themes being included in Easter services.
I hope that you enjoy Andre Rieu's rendition of Handel's Hallelujah Chorus which was performed at the Radio City Music Hall in New York with the Harlem Gospel Choir and Tenors and Sopranos from his own group of performers.
So, on this Easter Sunday 2010, may I wish you and your loved ones a very Happy and Blessed Easter and may all of your days be filled with many Alleluia moments!
Best wishes,
Happy Easter Natasha. Sounds like you had a lovely Easter Sunday. Hope you don't mind me joining the Sunday Song bandwagon!

Natasha,
ReplyDeleteSunsets have always been the place that I see the handiwork of God at its best. I can rarely view a beautiful sunset without sending up a prayer. Glad you and you family had such a nice holiday weekend.
