Give away closed!
I am sure that you will agree with me then, that there is no better song to share for this week's Tuesday Tune than A Few of My Favourite Things from The Sound Of Music.
I hope you enjoy this version which is from a Julie Andrew's concert in 1989 and it is a medley of some of my favourite songs from The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins.
~The link isn't working properly so just click on the link where it says "Watch on You Tube" and it should take you straight to the song~
If you have a favourite song that you would like to share this weekend for Tuesday Tune, I would love to hear it!
You can post a song from any post, old or new. Please help me spread the word about this weekly celebration of music by linking back to this post and if you want to, you are most welcome to use the Tuesday Tune button.

I would love it if you could leave a comment telling me why it is one of your favourite songs. If you don't link up a song today I would still love to hear about your favourite song, so please leave a comment.
I can't wait to listen to and learn about your favourite songs this week!

ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect song to go along with your blog and your giveaway. I haven't listened to this music for years, but it does bring back memories.
ReplyDeleteThe Sound of Music is probably one of the most loved films ever, and this particular song is one of its treasures. My children loved to sing it, and would attempt to sing it before they knew the words. I think my youngest liked the words about the kittens and their whiskers.
ReplyDeleteThis is indeed the perfect selection for your post.

Sending you just a tidbit of one of my favorites...

Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens;
Brown paper packages tied up with strings;
These are a few of my favorite things.
Now I shall be humming this little ditty for the rest of the day...
.....Still Humming...Rosie
Dear Natasha, songs like these makes a lot of people smile. Including my daughter and me. The 'do, re, me song' (as we call it) was the first english song she learnt when she was five years old. We frequently sing it together... Writing this down it makes me smile again. She is nine years old now and I hope wil soon have the patience to watch the movie with me. Have a wonderful week full of your favourite things! Sandra
