Cleaning the House with the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop

I have just rediscovered the joys of mopping floors! I know...who knew that someone could actually get a kick out of cleaning?

New research released in the UK found an hour of mopping the floor burns about the same calories – if not slightly more – than the same time spent lifting weights at the gym.
Cleaning the House with the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop

I got my mopping mojo back thanks to Porter Novelli and Aussie Mummy Bloggers, because they kindly sent me a Rubbermaid Reveal mop to try out.

Cleaning the House with the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop

Do you know why this mop has changed my views of mopping? There is NO BUCKET!

Cleaning the House with the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop

You simply fill up the cannister with hot water, or add your favourite floor cleaning product and using the trigger, just spray and mop!

Rubbermaid Reveal Mop

The microfibre cleaning pad is reusable so you don’t have to worry about buying disposable pads. You just throw it in the washing machine and reuse it. A quick spray and the microfibre pad mops up any spill easily. Apparently it picks up 50% more dirt and grime than any other mop!

Rubbermaid Reveal Mop

The swivel function is great because I was able to very easily go under the furniture and it also fitted in perfectly in the space between my fridge and the cabinetry. I would normally have to get down on my hands and knees to clean this spot!

Cleaning the House with the Rubbermaid Reveal Mop

This brilliant mop has recently been launched in selected Bunnings stores around Australia and retails at $39.95. The Rubbermaid Australia site will launch soon, but until then if you would like more information about the company and products please visit www.rubbermaid.com.

Now, to the first give away....Thanks to Rubbermaid, one Aussie reader will win a Reveal Mop!

  2. I won't link up because I can't even remember where I put this..but this is an awesome idea for real wood floors. One part Vinegar and 9 parts water...it makes the floors look brand new. I saw this tip in Beautiful Homes..some caretaker in an old mansion place had done this for years and it truly makes wood beautiful. I have got to find that mop!!! ;D

  3. Great tip Julie-thanks! I will remember that for next time I mop my timber floors!

    Best wishes,

  4. I also use vinegar and water for my wood floors, and I keep a spray bottle filled with it on the counter. It does a great job for pennies, no harmful chemicals, and the vinegar smell vanishes instantly!

  9. I think the mop is wonderful! Microfiber cloths are really awesome! You can use them to wash windows with just water and they don't steak. That's my little tip!!

    Have a great weekend!

  16. Wow, marvelous looking mop♡♡♡
Unfortunately, i don't need it because half of the rooms of my house are tatami floor and kitchen is really small(^^;)
    But loved the post!!!

  17. How sad of me to enter a mop competition, but I think I would like one of those, Natasha!! So, I'm in! xx

  18. I bought the ProMist Mop a few months ago. It's very similar to the one you are using and it works great. Same thing...fill the reuasble container...spray (no batteries like a Swiffer)...and the pad is reusable.

It makes cleaning very easy. I got mine for $20 at walmart.

  21. Hi Natasha,

You are a very convincing marketeer.

I need one of these too.

I will be on the lookout in the U.S. for it.

Thank you for a wonderful post.

(And a gentle reminder of things I must do...clean!)

  22. Great post Natasha! I have a Haan Slim & Light steam mop and I love it, however, it doesn't have the swivel feature which would be very helpful in cleaning, but it does a great job also. You can groom your carpets with it too. It makes cleaning the floors so much easier! Anything that makes cleaning easier I am all for!! I also read a tip for getting rid of germs with peroxide vs. clorox which smells. Just put it in a spray bottle and clean away. It kills the germs too. Who knew!! Hope you have a great weekend and loved your post.

  23. that mop looks great...we try not to use chemicals so filling it with warm water...great....and no bucket...will definitely check this out...
As for cleaning...one of the things my 10 yr. old does is use lint rollars to clean the stairs. It quickly picks up everything and she loves doing it.

  24. that sounds like the coolest mop, no bucket...yes!

I haven't blogged about cleaning and haven't yet started my Spring cleaning, but what a great idea for a linky.

  46. Happy pink Saturday. Lots of great advice here. I always try to clean top to bottom so everything hitting the floor gets swept up before the mopping begins! We have carpet and wood floors so we are always cleaning something with all the pets we have! Crumpled newspaper is always a great helper making mirrors shine! Anne

I still use my steamer once every 6 weeks or so, but the reveal is wonderful for everyday cleaning
