Tuesday Tune - Homage to Autumn

It's Autumn in Australia...finally!

#TuesdayTune, Autumn, Tuesday Tune, Natasha in Oz, Australia, Tuesday Tune Linky Party,

The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting cooler and the golden and burnished leaves are starting to fall off the trees.

#TuesdayTune, Autumn, Tuesday Tune, Natasha in Oz, Australia, Tuesday Tune Linky Party,

Autumn in Australia lasts from March to May. I love this time of year because the extremely hot weather fades away and by late April I finally feel as though winter is approaching.

#TuesdayTune, Autumn, Tuesday Tune, Natasha in Oz, Australia, Tuesday Tune Linky Party,

In autumn here in Oz, the sun still shines brightly and many people still head to the beach, just like we will be next week!

Autumn is my favourite season and I am so happy it has finally arrived.

Since I celebrated the arrival of Spring in August last year I thought I should celebrate Autumn this year so I have made a little slideshow on Smilebox of some of my favourite Autumn images. The music is just a generic piece from the site but I think it fits quite well with my images. If anyone else has used Smilebox before and thinks I should pay for the extra features I would love to hear from you!

So, here is today's #TuesdayTune, which was inspired by my favourite season, Autumn!

Homage to Autumn

  2. Gorgeous photos, as always Natasha. It's funny to think that you are now just going into Autumn and here we are in England, just heading into Spring. In fact, our clocks went forward an hour last evening. I adore April and May because everything looks so new and fresh. By the way, I loved the photo of the walkway to the beach. That looks SO inviting!

  3. Autumn is my favourite season too. We are just about to head into spring here, if the weather stays warm...and I am really looking forward to some warmer weather. I love the boardwalk shot down to the beach as well. You have made a lovely collection of photos for this post Natasha. Happy Sunday!

  4. Dear Natasha

It's so good to be joining you and your wonderful hop again! I love autumn and thought your post today was lovely (although it reminds me of the distance between us as we are heading into spring!) I hope you have a fabulous week, and when you drop by, please take a moment and share your thoughts on my "What Do You Think About Blog Hops" post as well. Enjoy your day!

  6. A lovely video selection, I did look at Smilebox but decided I just do not have the time to play! At least even though it is Autumn you are still able to head for the beach. Just off to listen to every ones SS now. Have a good week. x

  7. Lovely photos Natasha, Of course my favorite time of the year is right now when everything is becoming green and flowers everywhere. Spring is a wonderful time of the year for me after a long winter of cold and bare trees. Have a wonderful week.

  8. Lovely photos. It still is an odd thought that you are "backwards" from us. We are still in early spring here and I am looking forward to the spring much like you are looking forward to the fall. Unfortunately, we woke up this morning to snow! Hopefully it won't last long. Fall is my favorite time of year as well. Enjoy these early days of fall... they are some of the most beautiful.

  9. Hi Natasha,
Your photographs are gorgeous! You take lovely photos and you make fantastic food, so you are most definitely creative!!!!

Being creative means you create anything that didn't exist 5 minutes before you made it :-).

I have never been to Australia, so I am loving this virtual romp.

    Cheers,
    Amisha

  10. Happy Sunday and Happy Autumn, Natasha. Thank you for doing this for us each week. I love music, and it is great to experience pieces that are new to me.

Your slideshow is fantastic. Autumn is my husband's favorite time of the year.

Have a wonderful time at the beach.♥

  11. Natasha,
That was beautiful. I forget sometimes how we are truly around the world from each other. We are hoping for Spring, which should arrive very soon. I love that beautiful slide show and your music selections always inspire me.

You are my musical creative muse.

  12. Good morning Natasha, I loved your Smilebox and the music. I came over from Beverly's post.

I am trying to think Spring here and Autumn seems very far away. Happy Autumn to you and yours.
BTW, I too love mopping my floors. It is a great satisfaction to have them clean and shiny.
    Hugs, Jeanne

  13. I have really enjoyed watching your slide show and how you attached the words to the poem. Everything looks so wonderful - you have some great shots! We are just approaching spring here in Michigan and we are looking forward to coming out from under the snow. I think my favorite season is the one that I am just entering - I love so many things about each one. I do indeed love fall -it is absolutely fabulous here in Michigan. But Spring - oh it has lots of charm, too, LOL! I am not sure how to post a song, so if you wouldn't mind sending me a note with some instructions, that would be great. Have a wonderful Sunday and a wonderful Autumn!

    Blessings,
    Tricia

  15. What beautiful photos. It is always interesting for me to think of you moving into fall while we wait for spring. I don't like winter, but each of the other seasons have things about them I love. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be fall...but, I'm certainly enjoying the greening of the grass and the hints of color that spring is starting to give us.

  20. Beautiful photos. It's odd to think as we are awaiting the warmer weather, that you are welcoming the cold.

It's wonderful to have you be a part of Seasonal Sundays!

  22. Natasha, Thanks for the encouragement while I'm sick. I repaired my Autumn Storm post (I deleted an album in Live Writer and most of my old posts are missing photos.) I will certainly be linking up and sending friends you way as I get to feeling better. We've had tons of company the last two weeks. BTW, I loved your posts about mopping..I talked about the same thing last Monday. Too funny! I like it too!

  33. Those photos are lovely and very autumnal - though it is a little strange for us here when Spring is now finally on its way... I do actually like pretty much every season - each in their on way :-) Have a lovely week xo

  34. I have to admit the weather is changing, but very slowly in Oz. WA has gone 52 days with scorching temps, I think everyones doing rain dancing at the moment! However Autumn is a lovely time of the year and haven't experienced one for 10 years. Times a Changing! Beautiful photo's

  35. Hey you've also been looking forward to Autumn. I've found this summer's been particularly sticky!

Only thing is, not so many trees down under drop their leaves. I suppose too many figure that there's plenty of sun in winter too! But we don't really get the same magical "leaf-fall" that you get in places like Canada and France.

  36. My first time here... I found you when you posted the felt flower pillow craft, which was adorable, by the way, and would be perfect for my daughter's room. So thank you. And thank you for the absolutely lovely poem with slide show. A great way to start my day!

  37. Okay, I just looked for the felt flower petal pillows on your blog and don't see them, so maybe I have my blogs confused. Anyway, glad to have found you!

Our grass is just now starting to turn green, we are on the cusp of spring! I cannot wait to get out and work in my flower gardens.

Have a great week, Natasha! :D

  40. You're heading into my favorite season! I love fall - in fact, that's why my husband and I got married that time of year. The changing leaves, the temperatures, the scents - such a lovely season. We're gearing up for spring, which I've been longing for for quite a while. It was a long, cold winter, so I'm ready for sunshine and flowers!

  47. It's funny, when I lived in Brisbane, I didn't really notice the changes in the seasons. Now I live down south, the changes are so big. My fav season I have to say is Winter. We live close to Thredbo, and we can see the snow on the mountains from here. I love the smell of fires burning in winter, something I really missed when I lived up north!
