Today, Australians around the country have paused for a minute's silence to remember those who died in defence of the nation at
Anzac Day services around the nation.
ANZAC day, April 25, is a national public holiday here in Australia and it is thought by many to be one of the most solemn days of the year. This year it will be marking the 96th anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during WWI.
Today we remember not only the original Anzacs who died on the 25th of April 1915, but every one of our service men and women who have served and died in all our wars, conflicts, peacekeeping, disaster relief and humanitarian assistance missions.
They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them.
Blessings and best wishes always,
Natasha
