Say G'Day Saturday Party ~ A Pink Party for Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

Hello and welcome this weekend's Say G'Day Saturday Linky Party!

Natasha In Oz

If you read my last post you would have seen that this week has been a very sad week for our family so I hope you will for give me if I haven't visited you this week. A very dear friend of ours passed away this week from breast cancer. It seems so pertinent but also very poignant that Sue passed away in October, the month that is dedicated to breast cancer cancer research. I am therefore posting a Pink post in honour of our dear friend Sue and all of the amazing women who are fighting or have fought this terrible disease.

I would also like to share a link to a new bloggy friend, Jo, who is an amazing lady who blogs at Jo's Corner.

 JO'S CORNER

Jo left the following comment on my "Think Pink" blog post and her bravery and faith have inspired me immensely.

I have terminal breast cancer. Sadly, despite having Radical Mastectomies and treatments, the cancer has spread throughout my body. In sharing that, I will say that my spirits are good on most days. And, I have lived much longer than was expected! I'm a Fighter and don't give up easily. Only recently, I've felt some despair that I may be entering my last Holiday Season. THAT makes me sad! I live alone, well not alone if I count Fauna and Flora, my two cats! But, I am wheelchair bound and have no family near me, so some days I feel alone. But, I always know that God is with me, so that gives me Peace.

I would so love it if you could please visit Jo and give her a great big virtual hug. You will love meeting such a wonderful, inspirational, kind and beautiful person...I'm sure she will change the way you look at life because of her positive and giving heart!

Thanks for being such an inspiring and amazing person, Jo!
This month, let's send a collective hug to all of our friends, sisters,  mothers, Aunts, Grandmothers, bloggers and loved ones who have been touched by breast cancer....

Let's ALL think Pink and help to
find a cure for this terrible disease!

  8. May God bless you, you are a brave woman! My brother in law has a terminal cancer too, in fact the doctor gave him 9 months to live. We are all bummed out because we thought the surgery and chemo will do any good but it didn't.

Please come see my Pink, when you get a chance. Happy weekend!

  11. More hugs Natasha - At 39 years old I swear every month someone in my circle of friends and family is touched by cancer. It just feels we are all too young, but it does not discriminate - so cruel!

Love your tribute and the pink ornaments you included are so lovely and a way to honour a lost family member or friend at the holidays.
