I hope you enjoy Holly's post and I also hope you enjoy the beautiful Christmas music that Holly shares.

I'd like to thank Natasha for inviting me as a guest blogger for this week's party with the theme of Peace On Earth.

Being a part of a charitable choir, The Stairwell Carollers, whose focus from September to November is preparation for Our Christmas concert season gives me a special connection to our theme this week

PEACE ON EARTH

We spend a lot of time singing the words "peace on earth", but I want to challenge everyone out there to really stop for a moment and think about what those words mean.

Is it peace in your heart from your faith that you share with others as easily as you breath?

Is it the wind whispering through the trees and the leaves whispering back that they are forever one with life?

Is it the knowledge that the cost is so dear because Peace is worth the whole world?

Is it that the Earth's beauty is almost to much to bear?

Or is it that you Love the world and the creatures that are in it?

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about love, peace and faith, Holly! I think we all need to take time to pause and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, especially when we start getting so busy and maybe a little too caught up in the commercialised aspects of Christmas.

The stained glass windows are at St. Barnabas, a little church in down-town Ottawa. We are doing a carol concert there tomorrow night.
Check our choir blog for more photos of the church interiors.

  11. Hello Natasha!
I think that Peace should be the Really x-mas wish!
I loved the Peace "definition". This is one of the most difficult thing to understand, but when it happens it turns the life a little bit easier!
Kisses and have a great weekend!

  12. Happy Pink Saturday - traveling by 2's today (my link is #132). And, you may remember what I posted today since I posted it back in 2009 -- kind of follows some of the theme of your guest blogger and you ... well, as in pausing and reflecting to some degree. Absolutely clear and wonderful voices in the choir. Very nice rising and falling of tones. Beautiful. Thanks!!! Jenn

  24. Thanks for the kind words, Jennifer -- Living in Ottawa, which is Canada's capitol, I think I sometimes take its beauty for granted -- but I took "5 minutes just for me" to photograph the flowers and geese at the Tulip Festival and lately have tried harder to be a hometown tourist.
