Say G'day Saturday Linky Party ~ A Virtual Trip around the World

Hello and welcome to this weekend's say G'day Saturday Linky Party!

Well, this has been another very sad week for our family so I hope you will for give me if I haven't visited you. Some of you might recall that last year our family lost a very dear friend to breast cancer. Sadly we have had to say goodbye to another dear friend this week. Ann Maree was not even 50 and she was the most vibrant, energetic, positive and amazing person in the world. Her only child, a beautiful daughter, is one of Maddy's best friends. Naturally Ann Maree's husband and family are completely devastated to have lost someone so young to breast cancer. It was a very aggressive cancer that attacked her liver....one minute she was here and the next she was gone.

Ann Maree was an amazing traveller. She saw so much of the world and she was always encouraging us to see more of the world and live a full and happy life. So to honour her memory, today I am taking a virtual trip around the world to all of the places that meant so much to Ann Maree!

Let's take a virtual trip around the world!

  5. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your daughter, and Ann Maree's family. I know what a devastation it can be. The disease took my own mom at the age of 48. Not a day goes by that I don't miss her. It robbed my kids of a wonderful grandmother and me of my best friend. Love to you all.

I'm so sorry to hear of your friends who are fighting the battle. I have a couple of friends doing the same thing. A horrible illness.

  35. Some awesome photos - fog laden London was it? And the wall of China? Beautiful photographs and some great sentiments. I especially liked the quotes of Emerson and Twain.

I haven't listened to the news to see what's going on (mostly politics!) ... hope the weather in Australia is not flooding as expected. We continue to have moisture and are thankful. It hasn't broken the drought per se - but it is a huge blessing. Was nice to see you the other day over on my blog! Hugs, Jenn
