Happy Holidays!
Hello sweet friends. Long time no see! It feels very strange to be sitting here writing this blog post after such a long blogging break but after a busy year I finally feel like I am ready to slowly get back to my bloggy home. I have missed you so much and have appreciated the messages, emails and comments.
Muffins made with Eggnog ~ The Perfect Christmas Treat!
Christmas has come early for our family! First, I finally ditched my very old and out-dated iphone and got myself a brand new one!
Second, I bought quite a few cartons of my favourite Christmas drink.... Eggnog!
I love this stuff and I especially love baking with it to make Christmas Eggnog Muffins!
Christmas Eggnog Muffins
Ingredients:
1/2 cup/ 115 grams butter (softened)
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 t. vanilla
2 t. baking powder
1 t. nutmeg (ground)
1/4 t. salt
2 1/2 cup flour
1 cup eggnog
Topping:
1 T. sugar and 1/4 t. nutmeg
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease muffin tin (regular or mini).
I used these festive cupcake liners. Aren't they fun!
Beat butter until creamy. Add sugar and beat until fluffy and pale yellow. Add egg one at a time and mix. Beat in extracts, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Fold in 1/2 flour and 1/2 egg nog. Add remaining flour and egg nog. Scoop into cups and sprinkle topping over batter. Bake for 25 minutes or until bottoms turn golden-brown.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Best wishes until next time,

G'day sweet friends and welcome to this week's Say G'day Saturday Linky party!
Well, the school holidays are finally coming to an end and we will be back at school Monday morning. I don't know how I'm going to cope with my alarm going off at 5:30 after three weeks of sleeping in!
I've also had fun looking at many of the links from last week's Say G'Day Linky Party. Here a few that you might not have seen.

Speaking about Paris, I'm also getting ready for a French dinner tonight to celebrate Bastille Day. We will be eating delicious French cheeses and Steak Frites and we will be drinking French wines.

Today I am sharing my favourite song of the week as I usually do each Tuesday for my Tuesday Tune post but I'm also adding my favourite quote of the week. I know that many of us use quotes as inspiration so I thought I might share some words of wisdom that I love on Tuesdays as well.
Today I am thinking about choices: past, present and future.
You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself. ~Alan Alda

Say G'Day Saturday Linky Party {73} ~ Link up Your Latest & Greatest!
G'day sweet friends and welcome to very late Say G'day Saturday Linky party!
It is the last week of the school holidays and I have been having such a great time relaxing, spending time with my family, going to the beach and basically doing very little! Here are a few of the pictures that I shared on Instagram of my week at my most favourite beach in the world, Mooloolaba!
When we arrived at the beach I had a terrible cold and the weather was dreary but I didn't care because I was at the beach!

G'day sweet friends and welcome to another Say G'day Saturday Linky party!
Well, I am now officially on school holidays but am in the middle of fighting a terrible cold! I can't believe I am spending the first week of my vacation sniffling, sneezing and coughing. At least I have had time to relax and unwind and not worry about getting myself ready for work and the kids ready for school.
I must apologize again for forgetting last week's linky party. We had a busy weekend and I was enjoying spending quality time with my family so much that I forgot to get the party post up. School Holiday Fun!
I am posting this from my iPhone using the Blogger app as I have just realised that I forgot to set up the post for the Say G'day Linky Party! It is the first weekend of the school holidays and I have been having fun with my family. We also bought Madeleine a new computer so we've been transferring files all weekend and I haven't had much access to my laptop.
Here are a few of thing fun things I've been up to this weekend.
Did you see the Super Moon?
I promise I will be more organised next weekend!

Accessorizing with Scarves, Words of Wisdom from Michael Kors & a Video!
Welcome sweet friend and thank you for stopping by to Say G'day!
Today's Tuesday Tune post is a little different to the usual post because I am not actually featuring a particular song, but some music that accompanies a brilliant video called 25 Ways to Wear a Scarf in 4.5 Minutes!
I have scarves on my mind at the moment because here in Brisbane, it is winter and in winter it doesn't really get very cold so we don't tend to wear big heavy coats and lots of heavy layers. Instead, we tend to wear essentials like long pants or jeans and accessorize with boots, jackets, ponchos and lots of scarves!
My favourite accessory every winter is a scarf or a poncho because they always fit, they can be as expensive or inexpensive as your budget allows and they come in so many different patterns, shapes and colours.
Scarves aren't only worn in Winter, though, no sirree, they can be worn in Summer too!
