This morning as I type this post it is overcast so I am reminded of the dreary weather in England. However, the chill in the air is welcome and beautful...I think Autumn has FINALLY arrived! Yippee! I know that many of my bloggy friends from the North are probably thinking I'm nuts because they are yearning for Spring but this summer has been long, hot, wet and humid and I'm really ready for Winter! I'm ready for warming comfort food, winter coats, woolen blankets and wearing my favourite jeans. Bring on the cold weather I say!
I hope you don't mind, then, if I get into the spirit of Winter by sharing a few photographs from our trip to Brighton. You might also enjoy listening to and watching today's Tuesday Tune which is a song called Beach from the Australian group San Cisco. The music video was filmed in Brighton and includes great shots of the area and features some of the shops that we spent some time in!

Lovely glimpses into your pocket of the world! In Thailand, we're going through the hot season now too and I really can't wait for the onset of the rains. :) Love all your shots around town!
ReplyDeleteHi Natasha,
ReplyDeletewhat a nice tour. I love the tea room and its treats. Thank you for sharing.
Best greetings, Johanna
Oh wow! That would be such a cool place to visit! In fact, we've had a much milder winter than we usually have, which usually means spring and summer are going to be unbearably hot and humid - maybe instead of moving to Washington State this summer, we should just move where you are. ;) Love all the shots! :)

I so understand your wish for autumn! Here too it is hot hot hot. The Brighton pics are stunning! What a fascinating place.

Natasha,
ReplyDeleteI love this post. It is so beautiful. I totally get that feeling of wanting to feel the fall and winter at the end of the summer. We are in the north, so you're right that I'm waiting for spring and summer, especially because we are having a blizzard today in Denver. I share at your parties, and I would really love to have you share this post at my Wednesday's Adorned From Above Blog Hop. Here is the link to the party.

I haven't been to Brighton for so many years. I used to love the stony beach and then a nice shopping trip down 'The Lanes'. Happy memories. Take care. Chel x

ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures! Yep, us Northerners are soooo ready to usher in Spring. I'm sure you feel the same way when we are celebrating Autumn. :) Thank you for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful place in your wonderful photos ~ hope it was fun ~ Enjoy ^_^
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trip.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it interesting that no matter where one lives, we long for and anticipate the change of seasons. Here we are, longing for spring, while you are looking forward to autumn. In 6 months, those feelings will be reversed!
Wonderful photos from your trip to Brighton Beach! We are just starting Spring here, in fact winter does not seem to want to leave. I enjoyed your post, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing all the pictures from your visit to Brighton Beach. I went to the Brighton in England and had a grand time there. Still have my precious prints on the wall. You pictures make me want to take away about 15 years and start back traveling again. genie
ReplyDeleteI love the pebbled beach and it looks like you had a good time and yummy food.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a place I'd love to visit too - beach, restaurants and shops....it has it all.
ReplyDeleteBrighton Beach looks like a really fun place to visit with lovely venues to shop and eat too~
