noun
1. a room in a house for general and informal everyday use.
Even though the rest of my house might not always be clean (ahem teenagers and your teenagery retreat!) my living room will always be a quiet haven of relaxation, warmth and loveliness! I love walking into this room every single day and it always makes me happy when I walk through it.
Living rooms set the mood for the home and should be a reflection of our personal tastes so they should be layered with all the things tell your visitors about your tastes, personality and style. That's why many decorators will tell you to decorate a Living Room in layers by using different heights and levels for displays, different textures for warmth and different colours for individuality.
So what does your living room say about you? Have you put your heart and soul into it? What decorating style have you followed? Maybe you are ready for a bit of a change and are looking for some

Neutral schemes can be embellished with unique and personal accessories to avoid making your Living Room look staged or impersonal. You can use patterned pillows or patterned drapery fabrics to unify a colour theme or you could add colour via a luxurious throw, artwork and favourite collections. A bonus of using bold patterns is that it helps to hide everyday wear and tear!
Table lamps, photo frames, trays, handles, objets d'art, books, candles, flowers and mirrors can all help to balance neutrals and add personal touches.
Most of all, decorate your Living Room so it is a true reflection of your life, your family, your loves, your travels, your personality!
