G'day from Oz sweet friends and welcome to
Natasha in Oz, my little bloggy home Down Under! I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. My week has started well and I'm having a fabulous time enjoying my home. I've been cleaning, purging, faffing and simply enjoying my surroundings. I've also moved furniture around and enjoyed styling a drinks area in our
Lounge Room which I was inspired to set up after seeing some divine ideas online.
Have you seen these beautiful drinks areas and bar carts? These were just some of the ideas that inspired me.
Aren't they gorgeous!? Now, my
drinks area is nowhere near as glitzy (or well-stocked!) as some of these bar carts but I'm pretty happy with the end result. I started by dividing the bar cart into little areas such as glassware, bottles and mixers. I also had to include a candle...you know how much I love candles!
Our drinks suits our needs and so I have only chosen the beverages we like to drink and serve. I love a Gin & Tonic and so does Mr Attorney and we often like a Pimms so those two drinks are always on the tray. My dad likes a scotch so we always have a Scotch Whiskey of some kind for him. We haven't gone crazy and broken the bank to fill the
drinks area with every beverage known to humankind either! Rather, we have a small selection of the drinks we know our family and friends like and we have left it at that!
I've been collecting wine corks for a while so I added my collection to the tray as well.
What do you think of the end result?
I'm very happy with our new drinks area. I'm sure it will constantly change but for now it's perfect!
