Tuesday Tune & Travel Tuesday: My Trip to Paris!

Hello sweet friends! Thank you so much for dropping by to Say G'day and to listen to this week's Tuesday Tune. This week I am sharing, very belatedly, some pictures from our last trip to Paris in 2012/2013.

I can't believe that it has taken me this long to share my photos but better late than never, right?!

Say G'Day Saturday Linky Party (84) - Tips for Taking Better iPhone pictures & a Blog Hop!

I must apologize for the lateness of this post. It is a long weekend for us Aussies and Kiwis for ANZAC Day, the day we remember and honour the men and women who have represented our countries in wars. I'm very proud of my hubby and son who woke up at 3:30am so they could attend the Dawn Service in the CBD and I'm especially proud of Alastair who sang at the service with his school choir.

I've also had a busy week with getting the kids back to school for a three-day week! They went to school Tuesday then had Friday off so it was a bit hard to keep them motivated!

I also wrote a post on iPhoneography so if you missed it it might be worth reading if you are like me and you take most of your photos with your smartphone! This post is full of tips and tricks to make your iPhone pictures look amazing and I also share some of my favourite photography apps. Please just click the picture or have a look here if you would like to learn more about #iphoneography.

#iPhoneography ~ Tips and Tricks for taking Better Smartphone Pictures

G'day sweet friends! Welcome to my bloggy home, Natasha in Oz. Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have had a fabulous week.

As many of you know, I am rather fond of Instagram and I love sharing my photos with you each weekend at my Say G'Day Saturday Linky Party. I love it because it makes anything and everything look fabulous! I also love it because with just a few clicks, I can share your amazing image to Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks. So I thought that since I haven't done an iPhoneography post for a while I might share my tips and tricks for taking better smartphone pictures and a few more of my favourite apps that I use when posting pictures.

Tips and Tricks for taking better smartphone pictures!

1. Don’t use the camera that comes with the Instagram app.
Instagram is a great tool for filtering photos to make them look fabulous but the camera isn't the best. Use your own iphone camera to take the picture then filter it via Instagram. Here's an example of what I mean.

This picture was taken with my iphone. The colours are fine and the resolution is good.

This was taken using the Instagram camera. It's flat colour wise and the clarity isn't as good as when using the in-built camera.

This is what the picture looks like after going through the IG filter. The resolution is still good and the colours are just as vibrant.

Delicious Jam and Coconut Slice Recipe

Hello from sunny Brisbane, Australia, sweet friends! Thank you so much for stopping by to say g'day. I'm so thrilled you are here as I am sharing a favourite recipe of mine for Foodie Friday. It is always a hit at tea parties, fetes as an after school snack or just something sweet to have with your afternoon cuppa.  This Jam and Coconut Slice recipe is an old-fashioned favourite with a cake-like pastry base, a layer of jam and a crispy coconut topping.

Tuesday Tune: TuneIn Radio App and The Pierces.

G'day from Brisbane, Australia. Welcome to Natasha in Oz and welcome to this week's Tuesday Tune, my weekly post where I share my favourite song for the week.

Tuesday Tune: TuneIn Radio App and The Pierces.

This week I'm sharing a new song that I heard on British Radio station BBC2 last night. No I didn't take a day trip over to the UK: I listened to it via the TuneIn Radio app.

It's so amazing to be able to listen to radio stations from all around the world on my iphone! I just use the app TuneIn Radio which allows you listen to many of the world’s radio channels. You can stream sports, news, talk and music from every continent and they can all be accessed via your iPhone, iPad and iPod. It is also available as an android download.

Here is a screen shot of my favourite stations at the moment.

Tuesday Tune: TuneIn Radio App and The Pierces.

There are so many stations to choose from all around the world. Even though I still don't speak French I love listening to French radio. My daughter learns German so she listens to German stations. It really does make the world seem like a very small place!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this fun pop song The Pierces an American Los Angeles-based band consisting of sisters Allison and Catherine Pierce. They are originally from Birmingham, Alabama and were touring the UK when I heard them. I hope you like their most recent tune called Believe in Me.

What did you think of today's Tuesday Tune? If you have shared a song or anything musical on your blog lately please share your post in the link up tool below. I'm always wanting to hear new tunes and find new music to listen to! Please also let me know if you use any other apps to stream radio stations from around the world!

Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you have a great Tuesday and that you enjoy the rest of your week!

Say G'Day Saturday Linky Party {81} ~ Link up your crafts, tutorials, DIY, recipes & blogging tips!

G'Day lovely friends. Welcome to this week's Say G'day Saturday Linky Party!

Today is the first day of the Autumn school holidays so I am in vacation mood! I slept in, read magazines, sipped my morning brew instead of pouring it down and I've generally had a wonderful day! That is also why today's link up is a little late!

Here are a few of the other things I've been doing this week, as seen on Instagram.

This week I said Goodbye March and Hello April!

On Wednesday I volunteered at my church's monthly Jumble Sale. I had such a great time and I also bought lots of great goodies, including this gorgeous vintage Wedgwood dish. There were so many bargains!

Tuesday Tune: Be Okay & De-Stress

G'day Sweet friends. Welcome to Natasha in Oz and welcome to this week's Tuesday Tune and Words of Wisdom post.

We are a happy crew at Chez Natasha in Oz this week as we are counting down the days to our Autumn Vacation which starts at exactly 3:05 on Friday afternoon! It's been a long term for the kiddos and they have both worked so hard and are no doubt feeling stressed and exhausted after weeks of studying, assessment, early starts and long days. I really feel for kids these days; they are under so much pressure to do well in everything they do and rarely have time to just, well, be kids!

A study, conducted by the University of Cambridge, has proved what most of us already know and that is that technology is one of the main factors causing stress and disrupting our lives.

Be Okay & De-Stress http://www.natashainoz.com/2014/04/tuesday-tune-be-okay-de-stress.html

It found that 38% of 10-18 year olds claim to feel overwhelmed by technology.  Source This really challenges the stereotype that children today prefer technology to real life social interaction. In light of this evidence, I'm going to restrict our technology use these holidays; I'm going to make sure we spend even more time together as a family and I'm going to make sure that we engage in long face-to-face conversations about anything and everything!

Here are some more tips on how we can make our lives a bit more stress free!
